That does sound like a good idea. The only subscription plugin I've found so far seems to only let you subscribe to comments posted after your own comment, so it sounds like you need to comment in order to subscribe. That doesn't seem ideal, so I think I need to look around a little more.

Add some subscription code into it. WordPress has some I'm pretty sure. I haven't bothered to do it with LUX, but eventually I will even though there's not as many technological "conversations".

Subscription code basically has the conversation email you when for each comment under the post you subscribe or sends you a daily digest if the post updates. Pretty useful.

Michele - The only software I've used outside of Blogger is WordPress, but I've been really happy with it so far. It's fairly easy to use, pretty flexible, has lots of plugins, and it's free. The only downside is that you need to find your own webhost, but I'm assuming you already have one for untangledweb, so that might not be a problem.

David - That's a great idea! From your WMD thread, I definitely know that you're capable of holding a lengthy discussion, so now all I have to do is come up with something sufficiently liberalish to provoke you.

Write something really liberally and I'll argue with you about it and thus begin your archives of lengthy discussions.

Of course the Blogger one is boring. Ugghhh!! Thanks anyway, though.

I'm looking at different blogging software now, so I may be changing eventually. I'm checking out WordPress, DotNetNuke and Community Server. Let me know if you have suggestions or thoughts...

It's a plugin for WordPress blogging software: <a href="http://www.coffee2code.com/archives/2004/08/27/plugin-customizable-post-listings/" rel="nofollow">Customizable Post Listings</a>.

<a href="http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=1205&query=recent%20comments&topic=0&type=f" rel="nofollow">This</a> is the closest I've seen to it for Blogger, but it's not really very close - it just shows the most recent comments for posts on your first page.
