Cartoon: Video Poker Reloaded

Both the North Carolina House and Senate voted recently to ban video poker. This week’s cartoon has a few suggestions for recycling the now-useless machines.

This is my first four-panel cartoon, and I’ve packed in plenty of jokes (an average of over two per panel!) plus a gratuitous Vernon Robinson reference for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!

Hey, great site you got here, thanks for redirecting me! I’m a sucker for local political cartoons, and you’ve got quite the talent. I especially like your Robinson references… that man grates me like no other. I think I have more disdain for him than most simply because I was compelled to sit smiling through an hour of his BS while president of the UNCG College Republicans. Keep up the good work, and next time I post one of your cartoons, I’ll be sure to give credit where it’s due!

Love this one Anthony! The last frame is classic! Ah the hypocrisy! On a side note, is this your first multi-panel cartoon? If it is, well done!

Melissa – Thanks for the kind words! Also, it’s encouraging to know that there are Republicans who can’t stomach Robinson, so I appreciate hearing you say so. Hope to see you around here again.

Ged – Thanks, I’m glad you liked it! I’ve done a few two-panel cartoons, but this is the first time I’ve tried to cram four frames in, and luckily they seemed to fit just fine, and even held up reasonably well when shrunk down for the site.

Oh Yes!! Enjoyed this Tongue in Cheek and just a touch sarcastic slap at our legislaturers . Especially the last frame. Good show as we have all come to know it will be.
